SCIENCE FOR THE CITIZEN: Spring 2012.
Meetings held every four weeks on Wednesday afternoons from 2 until 4 o’clock
usually in the Long Kiln Room but please check the notice board for any different location.
Programme:

Prof. Peter Goldfarb, formally of Surrey University.
Issues will include:
DNA as our inherited blueprint
DNA and life on earth
DNA and the human genome project, a new understanding
DNA and personalised medicine
DNA as the forensic 'silent witness'
Questions will be welcome.

Arrangements will depend on numbers attending.
We could go in our own cars with the usual timetable:
12.00 Depart Maltings’
Travel via M3 to Kew.
13.00 Lunch in a convenient Pub.
14.00 Visit Museum.
16.00 Depart Museum for Farnham
Entry £7.50 with an additional payment to have an engine in steam!
153 2 May ‘The Evolution of Left and Right Brains’
"A generation ago the view was prevalent that left and right handedness
was a characteristic particular to humans; the talk will describe the
increasing body of evidence that now shows the incorrectness of this
view, and discuss possible implications.”
