NEW Short stories from Russian literature
Three sessions – Mondays 2.00 - 3.30 (Taking the place of Russian
Language)
Jan 24 Chekhov and the coming storm. The Princess. It is a
rather devastating picture of a strata of society that would
be swept away within two decades.
Feb 21 Babel and the eye of the storm. The Death of Dolgushov.
A story from the Civil War in which he participated. (dual
text available)
March 21 Paustovksy - Safety in history. The Old Cook. A story
from the time of Mozart. (Dual text available)
Also a story from the underground.. Selection still to be made.
The texts are broadly parallel to the theme 'Between the Wars' and the
writers are chosen as a window onto a particular period.

Edward Reeves, a classical pianist and vocalist is offering Classes at
The new Farnham Music & Drama Studio

Thursday, 20th January at 2.45 – 3.45pm
(this will be a Free Taster Session)

The address is 78 TILFORD RD, FARNHAM
Some parking in drive or else on street

Usual price will be £5 per session per member
Which includes free Tea & Coffee

The aim is to make music fun and the choir will sing a variety of music from light-hearted,
musical theatre and some classical.
