The Farnham U3A Newsletter is ‘The Owl’. Why ‘The Owl’? The story which epitomises our movement - is that OWL stands for Older, Wiser - but still Learning. The Owl is now published three times a year, mid-way through each term. in February, June and October in a 20 to 24 page handy A5 format.
With
more than 70 groups in Farnham U3A it is clearly not possible to
include items on every single activity in each publication of The
Owl. I do endeavour to include a variety of contributions and I
recognise that some of our Group’s programmes change term
by term.
I do want to publish photos, drawings from your Group as a possible front or back cover of the Owl. The format is approx 12.5 cm (5 inches) square and the subject needs to be simple, bold and high contrast.
I also welcome group reports, news stories, puzzles and articles from members about their own interests and activities.

I can cope with pretty much any sort of input - short of illegible! I do, however, prefer your contribution by email or on floppy diskette or CD. I will always acknowledge contributions by email but, sorry, not those by post or hand.
My thanks to all who have contributed to your newsletter, and a big thank you to all of you who have helped me to 'stuff' the envelopes and send it out to you. Please do keep the articles coming.
Please note the CLOSING DATE for submission of articles for the next issue. This is the LAST date on which I can accept your articles.
